OmniVision announced the always-on vision AI co-processor OAX7700 with an integrated NPU, enabling human detection, person/object recognition, and distance measurement. It can turn car surround-view cameras into a low-power parking monitoring system at just 3% of existing power consumption, with mass production targeted for Q1 2027.
