ByteDance, Alibaba and Tencent have shown combined demand for more than 3 million Nvidia RTX PRO 5500 GPUs, representing a potential order value of over $35 billion, though Nvidia may not be able to fulfill all requests and actual deliveries could be much lower.
Oracle announced it is expanding its cloud AI chip agreement with Nvidia to multi-gigawatt scale for Nvidia's latest Vera Rubin AI servers, and will offer Google TPU chips for the first time, while planning to add inference chips from SambaNova and Cerebras to diversify its chip lineup.
Nvidia has invested in Indian startup Simplismart's $14 million Series B round, led by Dallas Venture Capital with Accel, Shastra VC, and Micromax participating. Simplismart provides software that helps companies run AI models more efficiently with fewer GPUs, and the round values the four-year-old startup at about $100 million.
Nvidia and Meta announced a strategic partnership in which Nvidia plans to invest $3 billion in Meta. Meta will expand its deployment of Nvidia's next-generation infrastructure, including the Vera Rubin architecture, and the companies will jointly optimize the Muse large model's inference and training performance to lower total cost of ownership.
Tsinghua University, NVIDIA, CMU, UC Berkeley, Princeton and NUS have jointly launched StreamEval, the first streaming interactive video generation benchmark, covering five task types — digital human dialogue, virtual human performance, world generation, instruction editing and reference editing — with 300 test cases and 38 evaluated models. The code, dataset and scoring rules are fully open-sourced.
SpaceX has disclosed in a regulatory filing a binding commitment for about $40 billion in financing with Apollo Global Management for AI chips and related data center equipment. Apollo will buy the hardware and lease it to SpaceX for about five to 5.25 years, with the deal expected to close by year-end and leases starting in the first half of 2027.
SpaceX has signed a roughly $40 billion GPU and equipment financing lease agreement with Apollo Global Management to procure Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin chips for its "superintelligent future" compute buildout. Equipment will be delivered in batches with lease terms of about five to 5.25 years per batch, starting in the first half of 2027.
GitHub user Zagitta has developed and released an open-source project called GPU Unlock that removes instruction issue rate limits on NVIDIA Ampere architecture GPUs through a Linux kernel module, unlocking hidden tensor core computing power. Real-world tests show performance gains of more than 60% on models such as the RTX 3090 Ti, and the project is experimental.
At the GTC Berlin keynote on October 23, 2026, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang demonstrated Microduck robots and the video went viral. The following day, Hugging Face's Clem Delangue said preorders surpassed 20,000, with deliveries expected before Christmas. Microduck is an open-source robot produced by Pollen Robotics, which Hugging Face acquired in 2025; Nvidia acquired Hugging Face in September.
Ride-hailing company inDrive announced a memorandum of understanding with Pony.ai and Nvidia to test autonomous taxis in Astana, Kazakhstan, in the first half of 2027, initially with safety operators and eventually aiming for fully driverless operation. Pony.ai will provide Gen-7 robotaxis, while Nvidia will supply the Hyperion platform and Halos safety system.
