On October 28, Zhiyuan released an upgraded version of its embodied intelligence simulation platform Genie Sim, focusing on improving soft-body simulation and adding model evaluation and reinforcement learning post-training features. In comparative tests covering 4 robot platforms and 22 tasks, the correlation between simulation and real-robot task scores reached 96.7%. Related code is planned to be updated on GitHub, with simulation assets and datasets to be opened to developers.
Xpeng Group Vice President Gu Jie said that the solid-state battery for Xpeng's IRON robot has entered small-batch production, with the robot currently in the pre-SOP stage. Xpeng previously announced at its 2025 Tech Day that IRON would be the first to use all-solid-state batteries. The company plans mass production of advanced humanoid robots by the end of 2026 and expects to enter global stores and commercial scenarios from 2027.
Tesla executives said in an interview that the company plans to use Optimus humanoid robots to plug and unplug charging cables for Robotaxis, while continuing to develop more automated wireless charging. Tesla currently still relies on staff to manually charge driverless Robotaxis, with wireless charging as the ultimate goal but unlikely to be realized in the near term.
FFR, upon its Nasdaq listing, issued its 2026 annual guidance, projecting roughly 2,000 robot unit sales and shipments for the year. It set a five-year target of about $1.98 billion in cumulative revenue and approximately 133,000 cumulative robot unit sales, and announced strategic partnerships with KYA Group, California University of Science and Technology, Boston International Business School and Pinnacle.
At the 2026 Mojia Robot global launch, Chery executive vice president Zhang Guibing gave his first interview as Mojia's general manager, outlining three changes automakers bring to embodied intelligence and revealing over 3,000 units sold across 100+ scenarios in 60+ countries, with about 70% of underlying vehicle-robot technology reusable.
On October 27, 2026, RoboDojo, the embodied intelligence evaluation benchmark led by the University of Hong Kong, released its latest ranking. Zhiyuan GO-3 Nano Preview ranked first with an average score of 61.90 and an average success rate of 56.42%, surpassing GPT-6 Astra, and also topped the sub-dimensions of fine manipulation, long-horizon execution and open semantic understanding.
Chinese robotics company AgiBot made 110 full-size Expedition A3 humanoid robots dance in sync in Jinan, with a performance lasting nearly six minutes featuring jumps, flips, wave patterns, and formation changes, reportedly earning a Guinness World Records title. All robots were production units, coordinated to the centimeter via the LinkBots control system and ultra-wideband positioning.
Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong visited the company's Seoul R&D campus and inspected the Robotics Experience (RX) business division for the first time since its establishment in July, reviewing progress in humanoid robot arm and dexterous hand technologies planned for display at CES 2027.
On October 27, Zhiyuan officially launched Genie Master, an embodied agent framework. The Spirit G2 robot equipped with the framework has been working at a real convenience store without manual demonstrations or debugging, achieving continuous self-evolution with no human in the loop, and marking the first validation of Physical RSI (embodied recursive self-evolution) in a real business scenario.
Musk responded on social platform X to Counterpoint Research's forecast that humanoid robot DRAM demand would surge 20-fold in five years, calling it "absurd" and asserting that robot RAM demand will exceed everything else on Earth, while superintelligence compute demand will far surpass robots, with ~100% deployed in deep space computing.
